The Muller Project

Size: 9 Images     Created: 31-10-2007

Description:

A large natural pondless feature designed and constructed using large slabs of Goshen and Granite for the fall stones.

Approximate Size:

15â.. x 20â..

Number Of Waterfalls:

One large header falls, that splits into two courses with multiple steps.

Fish:

N/A

Equipment Used:

400 sq ft .45 mil EPDM liner and Geotextile underlay fabric, Little Giant Waterfall Well, 5000 gph Pump, Savio 31" Waterfall Weir and Kichler Lighting Setup

Design Considerations:

The residence was already on a lake so the client had no interest in a traditional pond. The only major consideration to this feature was the volume. The major purpose for the feature was to drown out the unfortunate distant noise of trucks traveling on a nearby highway that would resonate across the lake at times. Additionally, they wanted to enjoy this feature from four different points, three of which were different rooms in the house.

Construction Challenges:

The only real challenge, aside from the heat wave we had to cope with while installing this feature (thank God for the dock on the lake we could jump off of to cool off!), was just the pure size of the stone we were working with.
